Who we are
Service with a smile: We are helping in COVID-19 fight
It all started from those chilly nights of November in the Year 2008. It was difficult to see the plight of homeless roadside families where many died un-mourned in the bitter winter cold, I thought of helping them by providing blankets at least. This process carried on for couple of years when I thought of ways of getting the information of others as well to ensure the needy get the help in extreme weather conditions. So, along with the distribution of Blankets, I started sharing my Contact Number to reach out to their loved ones as well at a different location…
Slowly but surely my contact information became viral… Soon I started receiving calls from various locations for help. Looking at the number of requests and help provided, people started joining me in my effort to help the needy. In 2-3 years, our team multiplied, and we decided to give it a name. So from a bunch of individuals, we became “Sachkhand Sewa Society”. 1st major activity of our NGO, Sachkhand Sewa Society was Fogging Sewa in Flood Affected areas of Kerela. With the utmost strong feeling of satisfaction, we came back to Delhi.
During the Normal Social Service Activities of our Team, received information of help required in Flood Affected Ropar District of Punjab. Our team went there and requested the authorities to defend & uphold the rights to life with dignity and the rights to food and shelter. Apart from Authorities looking into the matter, our team started helping them in replenishment of bedding, kitchen and other materials which were washed away in flood. Since mere possession of ration cards cannot guarantee any food security to the flood victims so our team did the needful there.
Then our team received the request for fogging sewa in Rudrapur, dengue affected area. Pleased with the efforts of our team, The Mayor of Rudrapur till date, Mr Rampal awarded an appreciation letter to our team “Sachkhand Sewa Society”.
Apart from the above-mentioned major activities by our team, we are continuously involved in helping the EWS section of our society. The activities not only include payment of school fees for their kids, providing ration plus medical support systems but also taking care of well being of widows.
While providing medical support systems to the poor and needy, Covid19 announced its entry to New Delhi, The Capital of the Country. Our NGO, Sachkhand Sewa Society exhibited its passion and devotion by coming forward to help during testing times of Covid-19 pandemic. Due to our non-stop help in these testing times of Covid19 Period, Sachkhand Sewa Society got the visibility and appreciations at every step. During Lockdown, our team of Sachkhand Sewa Society was involved in sanitization activities from Slums to Prime Minister’s Security Office plus Residence to the walls of Rashtrapati Bhawan. Sanitization activities were carried on by our team in various residential areas, local police stations along with Tihar Jail Campus. Various Religious Places like Temples, Masjids, Gurudwaras etc were covered in the capital as well. Now with God’s Blessings out team is close to 50 Volunteers with numbers increasing day by day.
